The AZLK Moskvich 2335 was a pick-up truck manufactured by the Soviet automaker AZLK and debuted in 1986. This vehicle was designed as a light-duty truck with a utilitarian purpose, best suited for the off-road environment. With a sturdy frame and rugged construction, it was an ideal vehicle for trading goods in rural areas of the Soviet Union. The angular design gave it an almost futuristic look on the road, though it did have its drawbacks, such as a combination of hard interior plastics and a lack of comfort amenities. The basic equipment was also sparse, with few creature comforts and a meager selection of optional extras. The engine was a robust 1.7-liter four-cylinder gasoline motor with a mere 76 horsepower, great for light-duty hauling but not ideal for speed or acceleration. This engine was paired to a four-speed manual transmission with a transferable two speed gearbox, giving it a range of traction suitable for challenging terrain. Its off-road capabilities were further enhanced by its front and rear independent suspension, along with extra ground clearance. While the Moskvich 2335 pick-up may not be the most advanced vehicle on the market today, it's a reliable classic that still draws interest from collectors and off-roaders.
