Specifications McDonnell XF85 Goblin blueprint

The McDonnell XF85 Goblin is an American jet fighter developed in the late 1940s. It is one of the smallest and lightest military aircraft ever built, sleek and agile, earning its nickname "The Flying Egg". The Goblin is about 11 meters long, with a wingspan of 7.5 meters. Its tiny fuselage is made from a magnesium alloy, giving it great strength while also keeping its weight around 1,900 kg. The single-seat cockpit is equipped with an ejection seat, and its low drag airframe gives it a top speed of over 650 km/h. Armament consists of a single 20mm autocannon and two High Velocity Air Rockets, giving it impressive firepower for its small size. The Goblin is powered by a single Westinghouse J34 turbojet engine, delivering 3,000 lb of thrust. It was among the first of its kind and showcased a level of technology not seen before in an American fighter aircraft. The Goblin was a part of the USAF's service from 1949 to 1950, and although it didn't see much use during its service, it was remarkable, offering unparalleled speed, agility and firepower.
