De Havilland DH.89 Dragon Rapide was a shortrange biplane. It was developed by the British De Heviland Aircraft Company under the direction of E. Hagg. Despite its primitive plywood design at the expense of economy it was produced from 1937 to 1948. During this time 728 units were produced 521 of them for the army. In different countries modifications had been used as military transport and training aircraft. They were in service with Israel Jordan and Iraq. In Israel they were used as light bombers.
